HISTORY

Like many great ideas, Faultline Outdoors™ came to life over white bass fishing on the San Gabriel river. In early 2002 while enjoying a very productive fishing trip, we (three neighborhood friends) began to compare our hopes, dreams, ambitions and careers. At that time each of us had been affected in one way or another by layoffs during the most severe downturn in the high-tech industries history. Each of us had many years of experience in this industry and were familiar with the uncertainty of the business. As we got to know one another, it became apparent that we each had very similar views of recreational outdoors and the goals of our respective careers, as well as the advantage of bringing to the table our own unique field of expertise. These expertise were the right ingredients to form a very effective and experience-driven company. On March 4, 2003 Faultline Outdoors™ became a reality.

PHILOSOPHY

FAULTLINE OUTDOORS™…Where the name came from.
The name Faultline Outdoors™ is significant for 2 reasons: the Balcones Faultline runs directly through our home area and the focus of our products is to provide “Ground-Breaking” technology and innovation to the outdoor industry. The faultline runs straight through the heart of our biggest hunting areas in Texas all the way down to the Gulf Coast where we enter a big portion of our fishing industry. The name is symbolic of a growing line of ground-breaking products.

From the CEO:
The company goals are to provide new solutions to everyday problems or to simply make the outdoor experience better. We want to bring the latest technology into the outdoor industry in a useful and non-degrading manner. Hunting and fishing especially have a tremendous amount of heritage and tradition associated with it. Most people develop a respect for the outdoors, the wildlife, and the environmental resources. We want to provide this new technology, but in a way that promotes and preserves these points.

Some of the key points we want to operate on are:

  • Quick delivery – Most people who order hunting or fishing products are getting ready for a trip within the next few days. I expect to support spur of the moment orders made probably by recommendation from friends.

  • Winning Customer Service - - If we have any problems we want to take care of them. I think this is the only way to really succeed.

  • High Quality – Over-designed, over-built, rugged products that last.

We have all experienced the red tape and politics that seem to be in almost every business today. We would like to have a business where we control it top down and keep that sort of thing out. The company is founded with extremely simple by-laws and operating practices and we intend to maintain this. We hope that 10 years from now we can sit back, look at the company, and honestly say that we built it how we envisioned it and we are doing what we love.

IN SUMMARY

Faultline Outdoors™ wants to be an icon in the industry. This company is built on real ideals: Providing innovation and technology to the sportsman, awareness in the industry, and preservation of the heritage.
